    Hi Ballieu,
Very nice work, I like your shield artwork and what I can see of your figure's face. Do you have photos of it from different angles? I work in mixed mediums - oils, acrylics, artist's dyes, enamels and whatever else works for the effect I'm trying to get at the time.
    Send more photos!
    Best!
    Ric :)

Welcome to our crazy world, I am sure that these forums will help you improve. Don't be afraid to ask anything on here, as whatever's troubling you is something somebody else would have overcome in the past. I would also recommend finding out if there are any clubs near where you live. This will give you the chance to get some useful feedback on areas you may need to work a bit more on.

Most important of all........have a good time!

    Hi Ballieu,

I really like the shield a lot. How did you do it? Did you sketch it onto the shield first and then paint over with acrylics?
The shade of blue is beautiful as well.

Excellent work Ballieu. I tried to enlarge this further but it became distorted even more than it is now. It does show a little more of your detail work tho. I like the shoulder detail and the plume. Overall a beautiful figure. I hope we see more of your work.

    Hallo
Thank you all for your comment, for me this is very important because i'am
into figures for just only 1 year. Now i have the courage to go on with this
    beautiful hobby.
In the future i will try to post more of my work and more detail in the pictures

For Francesca,i did draw it,first some attempts on paper (just the outline)
when it was to my liking i put the outline on special (see through) paper
(i don't know the exact english name) i rubbed the back of the paper with a
soft pencil and put the paper onto the shield, then i go over the drawing again
with a pencil;when you put the paper away it leaves a clear outline drawing on
the shield.the rest of the design i did freehand all with acryl paint (dark, medium, light grey and finally with white)
i hope this answers a bit your question

    regards Geert
