New Tamiya 1/35 Kettenkrad on the way (y)
I wish they would do one in 1/16 as well
The new style of Tamiya figures are getting better and better

Their new figures are excellent - believe they're 3D scanned & printed from live models wearing original uniforms & equipment. The odd Hornet head raises them up to the standard of resin figures. They also seem to be complementing their recent figure sets with decals for the insignia - these look particularly effective on the last few German Panzer crewmen they've released.

I hope the Kettenkrad is a new tooling too, & not a reboxing of their 1970s version.

Just read an update on another AFV modelling site, apparently it is a complete new tooling so will be worth waiting for!
The Panzer IV Ausf G (Early) looks great too, nice poses on the figures.

Impressive ..used to be pretty nasty stuff..Miniart, ICM..a few plastic figure makers are upping their game and doing intersting stuff- usually for dioramas.

I agree a 1/16 Kettenkrad would be great.
Have bought some of the new Tamiya 1/35 figures and they are worlds apart from their old stuff. Will most likely get the Kettenkrad when released as well.

WOW!!! you was correct in saying it was priced way too high.

I am sure I have seen a 3d printed version for sale previously but the detail was lacking.
    Cheers

Love the new Tamiya figs, they certainly are getting it together. Question is, what do I do with all my old Tamiya figs still left on the shelf? Ah, great starter kits for the grandkids, right? I mean, that's where I started, way, way, way back in the mid 70's.

Yes, that Kettenkrad kit must have 14k gold rims, or something. The price is absurd, I'm out!
