    I know what you mean Kevin but sometimes a change of pace is nice!

    It's also good to see Oleg ringing the changes. Taking nothing away from his amazing sculpting talents, quite a number of his recent pieces have been a bit same-y, a nice variety of subjects but all in the same basic pose and with the same snarling expression.

    +1 to what Steve said. The Romans were an adaptable lot if nothing else and would press into service anything they happened upon or captured which gave them an advantage.

    As such, some boiled leather arm protectors seems perfectly possible to me.
