    Hi

Please see the latest release from Bonaparte Military Models. This is a Captain Hussar Bust and was sculpted by Greg Girault. The is cast from resin and is 200mm scale. This is available now from:

    https://www.bonapartesmilitarymodels.co.uk/captain-hussars--bust-341-p.asp

This figure can be paired with our other new release ADC to Bernadotte and can be passing an item to each other such as the letter included in the kit and as per the photo.

If buying the pair please contact me for a 10% discount.

    Thanks
    Paul

Nice sculpt. I know next to nothing about Napoleonics, but I have never seen a French Hussar uniform like the one worn here with the shako. Is it a uniform worn by a hussar officer from a nation (allied) to Napoleon and not actually French? Thanks in anticipation of anyone who can clarify.

I was wrong in my first comment regarding the Captain of Hussars. It is indeed a Hussar in "Tenue de Ville" uniform.

The Sculptor used the below image as an example, this is Captain Marcellin.

Gary this is actually a form of walking out dress for Hussars, (Tenue de Ville), worn with Shako.
Often worn by officers on attachment, the aiguilette shows a staff appointment as far as I know.
    Here's a Capt 5th Hussars.

Thanks Paul for the information and that's a uniform I have never seen before so it makes a change from 'a pelisse with everything' French Hussar.

Some wore the surtout with single row of buttons as undress too.
Practical in Egypt, and stayed practical elsewhere.
