I have been waiting patiently for this. I totally love this El Taller masterpiece. I'll probably get two of this. Well done El Taller.

    Hi Miguel

That's a surprise subject from you , looking very good and with nice movement , looks like the horse is slowly moving

Quality will be right up there as with previous releases

Like the painting of both horse and rider

    Thanks for sharing

Not a criticism of this figure, which is very nice, (apart from the usual horse problem) but does this offer anything we haven't seen before.
In an era with such a wealth of choice in subject matter; why another basic armour type in a jinbaori? How about Ieyasu in his cuirass armour or a bear fur armour, just to stir up interest a little?

What a boring figure ! Check out the Arsenjev 54mm Samurai on horse (http://ruvit.ru/ru/pages/315/) for comparison: that's the high standard in pose , dynamics ,drama and detail one should aim for. And why again Oda Nobunaga "the butcher" of the Sengoku period ??? I suggest that western sculptors take those Russian master pieces as reference and, voila, the issue of such uninspired figures is resolved.

Thank you very much for your comment. It is an honour for me to count, in every figure, on your kindness.

    Lovely piece, well painted.
Glad it's not 90mm (my preferred scale) as my grey army is already too large.

Three observations to your kind comment:
For an expert collector like you, it is ridiculous to compare the Russian Vityaz Studio with any other brand.
I am very sorry that you find the figure boring, I assure you that was not my intention, and lastly, do you have a personal problem with Oda Nobunaga?

Of course taste is personal and each is entitled to his opinion,no problem with that,so I will just make a comment on the actual historical personality.Oda Nobunaga has indeed earned a reputation for being a brutal person.Probably justly too.But he was a violent man in a violent, turbulent age.His successor Toyotomi Hideyoshi almost obliterated the entire Korean peninsula in hs Imjin War and the man who succeeded him,Tokugawa Ieyasu,is the man responsible for the destruction of Osaka in 1615,the closest thing to the destruction of Magdemburg in Japanese history, where more than twenty thousand civilians were either killed or displaced. What I am trying to say is that there were many butchers in Sengoku and Momoyama Japan (by modern standards at least). The topic has been brought up many times here on PF.We are into historical modeling,we deal with historical personalities who killed people either by profession, habit or both.If we start applying moral criteria on figures we would probably end up painting multiple versions of Mother Theresa and the Dalai Lama.
