I don't have any time coming days for making copies.
I decided to fold o piece of alufoil around Carls head and make the Pelzmutze in a way it can be removed.

Nice going René! This looks like it will turn out great.

Just one question: could you post a picture from the side? I was wondering whether the ears (which are nicely sculpted BTW) are in the right position...? Might just be the perspective though.

I understand that the plan is to make a full figure out of it?

    Cheers,
    Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

the ears are not finished yet, I baked the head to make finishing ears easier.
The jaw is a bit too long and needs to be reduced later on.

    some photos from earlier session:

    I forgot Adrian,

I think this might have been a nice full figure.

Personally I think Carl will be fine being 'just' a buste.

some of the sketches I made are also worth working out.
    I consider them as studies.

    Just some sketching...

Karl will be wearing the grey coat, arms behind his back.
One and other need to be diminished in order to get a sharp triangelarly cut in the end.

He needs to be depicted in the Stalingrad era, cold, purple nose and perhaps some snow on the torso itself.

    :)

    Antonio,

I do this all the time in my drawingwork for filling up, why not in sculpted objects...?

I wrapped karls head in alufoil and folded his sjawl around it.
Took away the foil and the head has a neat fit.

    Miraculous expression!

The "innate" arrogance of the general is removed by fear and depression.

    Great made!

Greate face expression. Clothes look very good too.
It might be the angle of the pictures, but I think that head sits a bit too high (is the neck a bit too long) ???

And merry Christmas to You ;)

    Heeeey Darko!

I think Karl stretches his neck, like being arrogant and by doing this keeping his shoulders down.
The shoulders are a bit stretched downworth also for his crossed arms behind his back.

When just being in front of my worktable, it doesn't bother me.

He needs to be casted and painted soon!
