Hi All, here's my latest. It's another Franco-Prussian War vignette. It's depicting Prussian soldiers of the 4th Guard Grenadier Regiment in the first wave of attacks on the St. Privat "heights". To make a long story short, the Prussians sustained heavy casualties in taking the village. This scene could be equated to the Union advance at Fredricksburg or "Picketts charge" at Gettysburg, but unlike those disasters, the Prussians eventually carried the day.

    Thanks for looking!

I'm using Magic Sculp for the majority of the figure and Duro for the the "finer" stuff.
I'm using Hornet heads and bits and pieces from ICM's F&P kits, mainly the spike for the helmet, cartridge boxes, and rifle and bayonet.

Just a note on the equipment; I've read an account that the Guard wore their full gear on this advance, packs and great-coat roll, weighing (probably exaggerated) 100 lbs.
