The British Flat Figure Society has had a new figure commissioned, now it's a little strange but it grows on you, as you can see we're looking at Robin Hood as you may not have seen him before;)
Engraved by Vladimir Nuzhdin in Russia
It stands 170mm and cost £18 plus post

Available from BFFS and 2D Figurines robin 4.png

If it grows anymore, there would be 6 characters! ..:D

Ok, is it, 'Friar Tuck', 'Little John', and 'Much', with 'Robin the Spud', on top?

It is a humorous piece, to the point that I do really quite like it! (y)

    Regards,

As a flat painter I can state that this is technically a great figure...from an illustration available from BFFs

Don't get Roger going on this or he will be telling us Robin Hood was a Yorkshire man

Isn't that grip on the second figure in an awkward place to say the least.....I'm looking at it without my glasses.
Very nice piece though.....look forward to seeing it painted.

If, 'Little John', did grab you by the 'Bollocks', I feel that you would know about it 'Toot-Sweet'. as the 'Robin' character would definitely be propelled another 20 feet into the air!:D

    Are you sure Gary?

I was brought up always thinking they all wore 'Tights',.. Which is not exactly normal now! .. God knows what they thought back then!! :D

I suppose it depends on which books you read, and whether some writers are indulging in wishful thinking, but I'm sticking with Errol Flynn and Richard Green, and I reckon that Basil Rathbone and Alan Wheatly were just making up dirty rumours:p

Might've been Tom, in the North Riding they would have stolen from the rich and kept it. :D
