Nice, showing the weight of the saddle.

Nice figure! (Although it should be 9th or 10th Cavalry, not 6th.)

Lovely figure and superb painting. The holster should be on the right, allowing him to easily draw the pistol with his left hand and use his sword right handed.

I don't like the horse.

I am no horse anatomy expert but it looks OK to me. I think however the painting of the horse's eye has far too much white showing (Photo 1) and thus makes the horse itself look somewhat toy like and 'staring'.

There is a good oportunity here to add saddle marks and sweat stains including along the girth strap.
