I've done a whole bunch of searching trying to find out what musical instrument a troubadour (or minstrel) would be accurate for 15th /16th C. ? Or maybe even earlier.
Just can't seem to find anything definitive on it...would a mandolin be OK?
Appreciate any help on this one...
