Came across an interesting piece on the Zorn palette. The name meant nothing to me as I haven't studied painting, but an interesting look at skin tones with a limited palette for those of you who like mixing paint.

    This thread is Super-Useful.
I made a horrible job of the face on this figure...(probably rushed it too much, to be honest)...

...so using this thread as a guideline ought to enable me to come up with a much better looking miniature -- hopefully something more like the artwork that came with the kit packaging.

    Steve Ski,
I think you did a great job with your tartans, The squares (sett) in this SBS are a bit big and the pattern is off centre. The black line that runs through the lighter green squares should run down the centre of the body, His Sergeant major would have a fit! :D does this count as rivet counting? do I get a prize?

Chaching! You win, my friend, HA! :ROFLMAO::D Your button count was correct, but we've temperarily lost our prize box, oh no,........... Please be patient,.........

Yes, those squares were a bit big for me too, but all in all Julia did a great job on the entire set. I've seen her flag work, incredible, and something I also had a fight with. Those tartans were a tough battle for an "Olive Drab Yankee" kinda guy, lol. Thanks for the kudos, Amigo.
