I have finally finished the sculpting of the figures for this dio and only have some more work to do with the street section base to get this finished, thinking of adding alittle table, some pots, vases etc to make it a street market.
I am not sure if this is the final composition of the figures yet, i am trying to spread the colour around the scene and being as the sitting man and water seller will be prodominently in white cloathing i want to spread the colourfull figures around more, when the painting starts it may eb easier for me to decided.

    Comments and critique welcome,

    Steve

Beautiful work of sculpting and theme . Setting it up , i would avoid posing the figures along a long libe , but make some mixture to add volume in the scene , trying to make more natiural and attractive

Waiting to see more of this nice work

    Great work.
I should set the two Napoleontic's together.
Then the salesmen for them, each trying to sell something to one of them.
I find that there is more interaction between all the figures. Now it is two scenes.
The boy should sit on the stairs.
    But only my two cents.

    Hi Steve,

Excellent sculpting mate. The scene is complex and there's plenty to keep the eye moving. The scene needs some "dressing" to make it feel like an authentic street market. Some graffiti on the walls, wicker baskets and clay jars full of produce and some cow pats on the ground would certainly add an extra level of detail and realism.

Can't wait to see the colours go on.

Blame it on the Australian Open???

    Aw Matey:

Wow, I almost missed the posting of your Nile River Boys diorama. Whew, I
guess I'm spending more time in front of the BoobTube watching Maria
Sharapova, who unfortunately got sent out of the fray with her first match.
    Durn burn it. I'm calling 1 800 Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :(:(

But I made it. And I must say that with that large structure behind that you
completely scratchbuilt and with 5 figures, each with his own personality,
this is definitely the work of a dedicated and disciplined artist . . . and a
labor of love. Congrats to you Steve.

It should paint up to look very interesting and striking. Some very wise
comments from the group as well. I even like the idea of the cow pies on the street. . .

Steve, Excellent sculpted figures and great looking scene!
Switching places of the two figures on the left would maybe improve it.
Looking forward to see them painted, will be a beautiful piece of work in the end.

    Take care,
    Marcel.

Marcel.. I am so keen to paint this one but i have to resist untill i feel my painting skills have developed more, i dont want to ruin it with a bad paintjob. I will keep moving the figures around untill i get them right, also got to do lots more to the groundwork.

Ian.. thanks mate im really enjoying a bit of 54mm at the moment.

Mitsutaka.. Thanks for the nice remark about my work, many thanks.
