Hello everybody,

This is the next project on my workbench.
It's a 54 mm Napoleon model from Art-Girona.
The torso is more or less finished (not very satisfied with the white),
still need to do the boots and some stains on the jacket.
I was wondering if I should paint the eyebrows?
The eyes look a bit odd to me, but this is due to the sculpture. Had to use little bit of
putty to flatten the jacket but for the rest it's a fine figure.
the figure is painted with Acrlycis.

Hope to finish it before the end of the year.
Thanks for looking, and all comments and critiques are welcome!!

Hallo Marcel,
Yes they eyes are something special:rolleyes:
I think you must correct the white colour. Try to make a glace off an offwhite. This will help to reduce the popeyed effect.
As far as the coat goes: he needs some more shading.
Further i find it really good what you have done so far.

Marc

Marcel,

I like him very much. Perhaps to make the eyes less "bug eyed" paint a thin line of dark brown/ black from the inside upper eye lid to the middle upper eyelid, and another line from the inside lower lid to the middle of the lower lid.

This will reduce the white and will reduce the size of the pupil. Try it, but keep your paint thin and build up the colour slowly.

Bon chance Marcel

Cheers

Marc: Bedankt voor je compliment! Tony: Thanks!
The coat will get some extra shadow.
The eye is a bit more problamatic, I will try to darken the "white" of the eye.
And try to add a line on the lower eyelid.
Vergilius, making the eyeball bigger is not so easy at least not for me. :(
I was already happy having a brown eyeball, a black dot in the middle and a tiny white dot on top. But let's see what I can do.

I was not satified with the white color anymore after reading Danilo's book, so I decided to redo this.
The base color and highlights are added but the shadows still have to be done (I hope this looks better than before, still learning  ).
Also shaded and highlighted the boots but I have to do some more blending.
I didn't had time yet to do some more shading on the jacket and fixing the eye.

Here an update on the Napoleon figure. I have redone the vest because it was too shiny. I finished the the hands and the stick and glued the figure together on the base. I did some extra work on the face, and tried to fix the eye.
At the moment I'm adjusting the jacket, blending, shadows and highlights.
And the last part is to finish the base of the figure.

Thanks for looking and comments and critiques are welcome.

Marcel.
