Here's my version of 'Napoleon Advancing' (Phoenix Models, 54mm) from S&D Models, who now produce this range of figures.
Painted as usual in oils over Humbrol enamels and printers inks for metallic items.
The W.I.P. can be found HERE.

Lovely seeing this little charmer painted up Andrew.
Beautifully presented with sofa helping figures to pop out!
And thanks for tip on S&D Models now doing Phoenix Models

Absolute treat to reminisce through the old catalog.
Number of these were sculpted by Roger Saunders before Hornet so have his trademark style.

Lovely job Andrew. Some very neat work on the lady and the chaise-longue. I love her expression - she isn't convinced is she:LOL:

Thank you for your kind comment Mike.
S&D Models have a very nice range.
It's a pity that the three Phoenix interior backdrops did not join the figures.

    Thank you Phil.
Masking tape was used for the striping of the sofa, to overcome my shakiness of hand.
As for the lady, the dress had a base coat of Humbrol enamel, washed with a darker oil, and finally dry-brushed with Humbrol white matt enamel.
The dry-brushing somehow resulted in a serendipitous texture.
I'm pleased with her expression. It's come out more or less exactly as I wanted it.

    Cheers,

    Hi Andrew

Great to see this finished and you've done thus credit , agree about the look on her face ....almost resignation to the hand moving towards her ...lol

A nice little set piece and goes to show what can be done with older but classic figures

Hope we're going to see some more from you soon

    Thanks for sharing

D'you know - back in the day, when Phoenix was, along with Poste Militaire, the top of the tree, I personally never paid them much heed. Don't know why, maybe I just associated them with the "Follies" range. That is a major regret, as there was much more to them than bums and boobs. Heigh-ho:sorry:
