There are currently a couple of threads talking about Naked Army busts works in progress or completed.

One of the comments is about getting more people aware on the Naked Army stuff

So here goes - I wasn't aware of Naked Army until the two busts were being talked about on PF

    http://www.na-int.com/

Here's the link for their website - some awesome pieces to get the inspirational juices flowing.

    Hi Adrian,

Recommend searching PF Archives for more work on these busts and figures by Alanmac - the master behind much of the boxart for them. Plus others by Tony Dawe & myself. They are exciting projects for those who want to tackle something a bit bigger & with more visible details.

    This this helps,

    Adrian,

Firstly, I've painted quite a few Naked Army figures and busts over the years, but I'm not on the payroll of their sales & marketing team, just an enthusiastic supporter.

For any Planeteer who is interested in purchasing either a poly resin figure kit or one of the bronzed statuettes in the Naked Army range, I can assure you they are exceptionally well researched, beautifully sculpted and superbly cast. They would make an excellent display piece on a mantelpiece or trophy cabinet and for those of you with the patience, can be painted up to look very special indeed. In addition to the main Naked Army range, there is another site called Khaki Army which has an extended range of figures in 1/6th scale and smaller, which are specifically intended to appeal to US customers. These are quite affordable and offer significant variety to the range of figures available.http://www.khaki-army.com/index.php

If postage to the UK is a problem, consider what it costs to purchase a 90mm white metal mounted figure from Pegaso or Andrea, and then compare what you get with a Naked Army kit. I think they are tremendous value for money. I'd be happy to see an agent stockist in the UK sell the full range of figures, busts and statuettes and to see a few more modellers have a crack at these kits.

Here is a selection of some of the completed and WIP Naked Army 1/6th scale figures and busts that I've painted over the years. I hope Alan Mackie will join this thread and post some pics of his huge range of Naked Army figures. No person on earth has painted and converted more Naked Army figures than him, and he is the Master. :notworthy:

Alan Mackie has sent me a selection of pics of his Naked Army figures and busts. Some of these are conversions, others are straight OOB. All of them are awesome.

The best part of these kits is absolute minimum clean-up. Just prime and away you go, which is just as well as resin is rock hard. One I prepared earlier.

Further to Adrian's query & Tony's earlier post.

Here are some classic In Progress conversions by Alan Mackie - "Big Al" by name & nature :)

Personally I've only painted two of these figures but they are both signature works for me having together taken over a year of my life to complete this pair.
Step by Step for each as they progressed plus final images in threads below.
