Here is my latest venture in painting. This time it is a private of the Närke-Värmlands Regt (Swedish Regt, Great Northern War) at the battle of Narva and is a 54mm original figure with a Hornet head and a Historex musket.

Still a work in progress but mostly the main body of the figure is completed, except for the weathering. The weathering should be fun as the weather at the Battle of Narva was lousy at best, snowy and sleety and over all pretty nasty.

Painted with Vallejos and Reapers with printers inks for the metals.

    Hello my friend Anders,
You have done an incredible and an amazing miniature painting, in particular the person is like shouting to me from the computer screen''attack.''
Surely the end result will be from another planet.

    Cheers

Lovely brushwork, buddy. Is this the same figure you used for your video sculpting SBS?

Just super work, Anders. Looking at the way you sculpted and painted this
figure, especially the head, it is so hard for me to, indeed, to accept the fact
that it is 54mm, that small. Wow. Very nice. Hope to see you at the IPMS/USA
    National convention in Phoenix????

    Thanks guys!

I need to make a small correction, the head that was used is not a Hornet head, but a Historex head. Just saw that I mislabled the head! Too used to using hornet heads I suppose!

Yes indeed Luca, it's a figure representing the homeland, before Karl XII army was defeated!

    Rudi,

Yeah, its the same one. I am now kicking my self for finishing it without completing the video series. It was supposed to be due for a show but got pushed up, and as a result I didn't have to finish it early. Live and learn!!

    Thanks Rick,

I wont be making the trek to Pheonix for the nationals, but have a great time while there!!

    Mike,

The figure will look a lot more interesting and complete once it's weathered a bit! At least, that is the plan :)

Thanks again guys for taking the time to comment!

    Very interesting, Anders!

I really like that you have managed to establish the look of Swedish farmers sons. (Det bondska utseendet.) That I like so much in Mike Blanks renditions of the men in the army of Karl XII.

    Thanks guys!

You know Janne, thats funny! I never thought about that, but when you point that out about Mickes work, I can see what you mean!!

Here are some shots of the finished piece. I couldnt get any real good pictures with the whole rifle due to the angle of it and couldnt get it to focus right. One of these days I'll learn to take proper pictures!
