    Hi all,

After many years of being fascinated with all the great miniatures and painters out there and after having purchased quite a few in my collection now I am almost finished my first miniature. I need lots of practice and the layering needs alot of improvement but its a start :).

I seemed to spend hours doing really thin highlight layers and at the end of it I couldnt really see the contrast I would like so I have probably gone too far after this by going a bit heavy handed on th highlight now... I need to work on the midlle ground if you know what I mean. The miniature is a simple Games Workshop Warlock that I have had for about 15 or more years, I have also built my first mini base to place it on, all feedback and tips are welcome.

Sorry about the pic, I had to use my iPhone as my camera is with my wife. Ill post another pic when I have finished the mini.

nice work on the base. The Iphone will actually take excellent pics you just have to get it in focus. Sometimes on figures the Iphone tries to focus on the back ground rather than the figure. You just have to find the proper placement of the phone to the figure. It also helps to tap on a part of the body for focus rather than the face.

welcome to painting sir, you will love it.
