Greetings! Here's an update on what I've been working on for the past several weeks. Murat's horse is almost finished. The mane and tail are only undercoated, and I still have some detail work to do, but it's nearly complete. The end is in sight now! Not much left but the groundwork, and I plan to do a snowy scene for this guy. I included a photo of Murat, in case you forgot what he looks like : ) (this series of posts has been going for a couple months now). As always, thanks for looking.

Wow, great work on the horse Jason!!!
Are the veins only painted or did you put also some relief on the horse?

Brilliant as is all of your painting. You are quickly becoming one of my favorite painters, Jason. Looking forward to seeing the finished piece.

Thank you for your compliments!! I'm glad you guys like the veins. I was worried that they look a bit exaggerated and unrealistic in these photos. They are more subtle in person (the shine is a bit more subtle also).

Marcel - The veins are strictly painted, there is no relief. I just painted a thin line of highlight color and then a then dark line underneath.
