Mtd Mercenary Knight 75mm WIP

I've been working on this project for several weeks now and decided to post some photos of where it is at now. Still a ton of work to do on the horse. The rider / knight has been base coated, but thats all.

The figure kit is a 75mm Pegaso Roaming Knight. I have made some color changes mainly in the horse as I felt the box art did not really show the detail sculpted and casted into the horse. Today all I was able to get done was attach the 4 part mane and highlight it afterwards.

Guy, pictures are not doing this one justice. A great start and I have to admit, as much as I liked it on Saturday, the mane has added a ton of drama to this piece! Anxious to see this one come together!

What kind of base are you going to put the horse on..

Thanks Andy. I am not sure about the base yet. The awkward size and shape of the kit base that needs to stay with the horse makes choosing a base difficult. I will probably bring out several size bases and see what the completed figure looks like on each.

Beautiful.. it is such a dramatic pose for the horse.. and the knight..
fits right in.

The dry brush on the mane is really great.

I like also how you have the block of wood and the toothpicks to hold the
small parts. I am going to make one of those and try it out.
