This is what i m working on at the moment.
Got this at Euro last September because i think it has a fantastic sense of motion. Anyway i m working at the horse at the moment but i cant wait to lay some paint on the riders face. He is like a miniature of Reid's Eastern Viking bust.
    Criticizm and comments always welcomed.

    hello
wonderfull figure,i bought one too.you are right the rider is full of motion as his horse.and its historic correct and look wonderfull
iam sure this will be again an smshing item.the horse colour as palomino i think is wrong in german we call them FALBE will contrast nicely with the rider.i think it should be painted like yours as white or grey or in the wonderfull colour you did choose.an chestnut would be already to dark.
    happy painting
    cheers

The horse is looking good Dimitrios (y) Good colouring for a pony. Is that an eel stripe I see along its back?

Nice work, love the tones on the horse, and you are right about the sense of movement. One thing I have always thought when I see the various Eastern Viking figures with the floppy hat is "SANTA CLAUS!". It would be kinda funny if someone did this figure carrying a big bag of toys behind him, and call it something like " I need something faster" or "Before the Sleigh".
    Cheers

    Excellent work Dimitrios.
You have found the great job of painting horses.
Like the color of the horse. Well done. I think you choose for a Fjorden horse. Then the color is spot on.
