Moson Show 2019

Hello, Anyone on here been to this show? and is there is anything of interest in area to see or do?
Is it more for the plastic aeroplane/ tank brigade?

Hi Michael,
I have been to this show two or three times in the past, but year by year it is growing bigger and bigger. The show is for all kind of modelers (airplains, armour vehicles, dioramas and figures). In last years the fastest growing segment was the cathegory of figures! Which is now very strong there. This year the main attraction for me are the workshops of Alfonso Giraldes, Kirill Kanaev and Marko Miladinovic. I believe they are free for visitors.
The situation with accomodation is bad in Mosonmagyarovar during the session, all hotels and penzions are full, or overpriced. The same in restaurants, which raise the prices twice or three times more the in normal days. So try to look for the accomodation in surrounding villages, or directly in Bartislava (in Slovakia), which is not far (about 25km from there) and you can find better accomodation there for fair prices.
I am attending this year show and I hope to meet you there. You will not regret attending it, it is a world class quality model show there.

Thanks for that.
I am already booked I am in Budapest from Mon 22nd to Fri 26th, then staying Friday until Sunday in the Hotel Aqua Termal in Moson , it was the only place available and seems close to venue.
I am painting some models to maybe take with me, I will see how they turn out.
I will look forward to meeting with yourself and or other PF members for a chat, drink etc

Hello,
Mosonshow is one of the main events in Europe and we have in contest around 2200 models.40 countries were presented by 700 modelers .
In this year we had 517 figures in 11 different categories from all around the World
Since 2017 we are in a new and fancy Sport Centre with very good light condition.
The only problem is to find in time a hotel because most of them are fully booked in advance.
Close to the town there are many hotels avalable and have shuttle busses for our guests from hotels to the show and back

Wu Bayin got the BOS with his diorama,Ace Pilot

My friend Gyorgy Varczag sculpted the Hussar and I hope it will be for sale.
Till now he made figures only for himself ....
My favourite from him is this Viking Girl
