More Mithrils for the chess set...

    Here a couple more pics of the chess set I've been working on. Sorry, the pics are pretty bad, but I took them on the fly so to speak. With the Nazgul (who is supposed to be Sauron), I was experimenting with reflected light of lava from below on the right side. It's more obvious in real life than in the pic. The troll is, well, a troll. Too bad the shadows and highlights are a bit washed out. Next time I'll try a black background for them.

    Cool stuff Wendy! This should be ine great chess set when it's done. I asume the good guys are on the opposite side? Gandalf, hobbits everywhere? Would love to see some shots of the over all set when you're done!

    Thanks guys. :)

    Yup, it's the good guys of Middle Earth verses the baddies. The sizes of the pieces vary a lot - from mounted soldiers to little tiny hobbits. I'm also working on a conversion that will be Shelob (the spider) who is the Queen of the baddies.

    I hope to finish in the next couple weeks and then I'll post some more pics.
