Mongolian Archer & Eagle

    I started this figure along with the 2 Roman Aquilifiers and thought I would post a pic or two of the progress with him. He is from Miniature Alliance, 90mm resin.

    Thanks guys, My leathers are done with enamels. The color here is first base coated with Floquil Rail Brown. After drying the deep creases are done with weathered black and the top folds are again painted rail brown. While wet, the two are blended at the line where they meet. After this step dries, I take Rail brown with several drops of white on a business card and using the semi-dry paint around the wet mixed puddle, dray off of it with a flat brush and dry-brush accross the folds adding additional highlighting. There are 3 seperate dry-brushings each done after the previous dries. The final dry-brushing is done with pure white and just feathering the very top of the folds.

    I took the day off from the planet today and managed to get quite alot done. Here is the finished base and groundwork with only the Mongol to attach after he is complete.

    At the same time I was finishing up the Pegaso Roman I also finished up the 90mm Mongol Hunter with his Mongolian Eagle.
