Mongol Bust from Harton

I have finished this "old" harton bust a few days ago. It is an old but very good bust. I had only some problems to fix the sword and the bow and the case at the correct place. There was not enough space for it, so I had to change it a little bit. And the form of the case for the arrows seems to be not ok, because the arrows would fall out. But the expression of the face and the other things are :) :)

Hope you like it and any comments are welcome

    Hi Ulrich,

Well done mate, that's a terrific bust, very well painted.

My only negative comment is that his skin seems a bit pale for a Mongol. Mongols generally appear to have darker skin colours than this bloke.

Good painting but i've agree with Tony.
Maybe you can darken the shade's to get the effekt what we are looking for.

Ulrich, nice work my friend. Over all this piece turned out great. The armor looks good. I might agree that his flesh tones could be darker, but that doesn't bother me much. I think the hide on his hat looks a tad "pinkish" to my tastes, but small things all. Nice work over all.

Thanks a lot for your comments. I will try to make a new photo with the correct skin tone. I have always problems to make "correct" photos and when I see the pics here at pf on different monitors they always look different.

The face has a little darker colour as you can see on the pics. And the "pinkish" touch seems to be the same. It is burnt siena with many white.

I have a made a white balance before I had made the pics, but .....

I will try to make some better photos during the next days.

Great work, but I would prefer a bit more contrast!
