Well here he is. I say finished, I would like to maybe get a bit more sheen out of the gorget if I can, but other than that I am basically done. All in oils, of course. The roach is done with Woodland Scenics fall grass that I painted with red acrylic paint, then some diluted white glue. I cut the "clumps" off the longer strands and voila, instant roach! I did add a raw umber wash to the base and some highlights to the tips to give it some depth. A fun piece to do. I thought I might get this one knocked out in a jiffy just to add to my finished pieces. Two months later, here ya go! Jay H. OKC Any comment and critiques are more than welcome! BTW, Gary, how did I do on the gorget? Did I get the top parts correct?
