    Gents,
Here is the Canuck bust I was working on for a while now.
Some of the few shots before the finish...he was still missing the buttons and the tiny maple leaf on the patch

    And a first casting...

Hey, Nice work Arthur. I love the detail on the beret. Sure my wife will be keen on the broad shoulders!! :)

Is that a modification of an existing face? or have you made a resin copy midway through the sculpting process? Just cuious as I'm working on my first face sculpt at the moment (doing it as a bust in about 1/6 so don't go crazy...) and very interested in the techniques people use.

    Michael,
The head is a reworked casting of a bust I did 4-5 years ago.
The original will get resurected in a new form so there will be a bit of similarity between the two busts. Right now I sculpted a blank which I will cast for the future projects, it will only require adding ears, eyes, nose, chin and hair.
    Cheers,

    Thanks.
I will try to post some in progress shots of the camo.

    Thanks Arthur,

Having a good, familiar 'blank' seems to be the key to speeding up the sculpting process. Will have to do something along those lines myself.

    All the best with painting!!

    Gents,
Here is a quick update on the paintjob. Have to hurry it, because it's a boxart and castings are waitnig for the packaging.
Still have to work on some details on the camo and face.
    Cheers,
    A.
