I was browsing the internet as one does, and came across 3 different types of product for 'Modelling Water'.

    Vallejo. Mod-podge, and Magic-Water.

This aspect has always been really scary for me to even attempt, and I would guess others may feel the same thing.:D

However, these 3 clips made me think. Is it as hard as we think?

Who has used what? .. and to what effect.

    With interest,

    Great find,
Never used them but I feel a few puddles appearing with the Army of the East

The simpler one seems to be the 'Vallejo'. As it is not ratio based, but can be multi-layered for depth! ... this one has piqued my 'Nuts'. as regards it's simplicity and my capability. ;)

    It's something to ponder on.

Snap. I would go for the Vallejo, But I am biased as I do like vallejo products on the whole.

OK here is a pic of what I mentioned it comes out thick but I found you can smooth it out flat as well. Like everything I guess the thicker it is the longer it takes to dry . I am sure someone can tell us the technique to use much better than myself. 20150905_101954.jpg 20150905_101954.jpg

Vallejo 'Still Water' is crap!....it has a mind of it's own....shrinks away to nothing.....and finds the smallest defect and amplifies it.....
You have to use a base of clear varnish to prevent it 'escaping' into wood or resin :arghh:
Oh....and you need a LOT of it....even for small areas :(

What by the 'Gallon', then! ....

Perhaps the 'Magic-Water', is a better option.
