Just some quick pics on the initial stages of this great figure.
The face is just pre-shaded acrylics, the oils will go on at the weekend.
The Lee Enfield from Reedees is extremely well sculpted and I've just laid down the first of the wood paints.

Very good flesh tones, and I like the decor on the headgear.
The graining on the rifle is effective too.

Geez Grant, you didn't waste any time getting stuck into this one. Great start. The eyes look pretty intense and the woodwork on the rifle is exceptionally good.

Great fleshtones, really like it. I would be very interested in your technique with the oils over the acrylics. Will follow closely.

Finished off the face and the Lee Enfield is ready for wash to tone down the silver and for the sight to be fitted. It will be weathered dusty to reflect the desert environment.

Wow that face is great, mind you i thought it was great when you "only" had it pre shaded! I must learn that method, can't wait to see this finished
