Looking fantastic Gells do you use an air brush as well as conventional painting methods, as mentioned love the facial painting this is a cracking figure and you really have started to do it justice will be following this with great interest as is a mate of mine who has just retired as an RSM from RM.
    cheers Chris

    Great work Grant.
I must get some camo training so that I can have a go at something like this.
I'm looking forward to see how this fella progresses.
    Cheers,

This is looking pretty darn good Grant! You have demonstrated patience and skill at rendering cammo patters, and you are no doubt undaunted in tackling what many consider a difficult pattern. Can't wait to see this guy done up!

    Hi Grant, face is excellent.
The skintones are great with the 5 0'clock shadow being particularly well handled.
The eyes are top class (y)
Pity he's such a messy eater though.
Looking forward to seeing this one progress.
    Cheers

Looks fantastic Gells. Skin tones are amazing, cam is top notch.

Reminds me a bit of Action Man from back in the day, does he have Eagle Eyes(tm)? ;)

Thanks for sharing with us muggles (y)

Very nice indeed Grant (y) I still think you need to add a bit of milliput on the right cheek and paint it pink though

I must agree with Eludia on his comment regarding the figure resembling Action Man, I thought the same as soon as I saw the figure a couple of weeks ago. But great painting and I look forward to seeing the end result.

I know the Action Man resemblance is there but if you change the head and hands on the Action Man figure (like adding a hornet head to an injection molded figure) that Action man can look very realistic.

In fact some of the sideshow and hot toys figures are amazing...look for Ed Harris from The Rock.

I've put more detail into the MTP colours.

I still need to do the almost white almost black splashes which will hopefully bring the pattern together.
Some green washes will tie in the colours more.

    Hi Gellso
I am sure you have loads of reference but thought this might help the boot look like Miendells or perhaps Lowas, these are some pics of mine which are nice and worn and shows the wear you tend to get in certain places ,and the colour that they cange to over time and stains still comfy though, lol hope this is of some use
    Cheers Chris
