Militiaman 1809

    These are some pics of the last figure that I have finished: Miliciano de Zaragoza as described by a Polish officer (Henri de Brandt) at the end of the second siege of the city (December 1808-February 1809):
    "We had been there for an hour when the first elements of those who had so valiantly defended Zaragoza appeared. They were mostly youths of sixteen to eighteen years old, without uniforms,wearing grey greatcoats an red cockades. While casually smoking their cigarrettes, they lined up in front of our ranks."

    The sculpture is by Eduard Pérez and I was waiting for the releasing as a commercial piece since saw the original two years ago.
    It is painted mainly in Vallejo Acrylics.
