Each to there own, everyone has their own way they prefer to access articles. The important thing is that there are contributors to supply them for you.

As far as I'm aware there will be a Euro Special again this year. So yes that means I'll be walking up and down the competition room around 300 times plus selecting pieces to be photographed. Do I hear violins...... knowing you lot probably not.

As I cannot be at Euro this year, I will be looking forward to the Special. It's always inspiring to see models I may have missed, plus those that have me transfixed with their artistry.

Euro specials only feature finished models. MM should also consider re activating their Modelling Annuals as well. These had more substantial articles.

Tut, tut. Come now Mark, eat it up. Porridge is low on calories and lowers your cholesterol. Health food of a Nation. But like you I gave up on MM many years ago.

    Hi Victor

That is something very much in our minds, but one thing at a time, it took us a while to get the Euro Special back.
We'll do our best to get the figure special back, that was an issue always worth having. So hang in there.
You do however has to have the contributors to be able to produce it.

Have MM thought about another draw card, maybe the addition of a centerfold, any takers?
Here's to hoping MM does get back into more figure models. I still think it's also somewhat going the way of the doe doe.

Nap, I thought it would be more along the lines of mm not being able to afford the extra ink and paper for your bristle

Latest issue is looking good. Also I lurk in the MM forum and I believe that figures are gaining ground.

    Hi Malc,

There is so much talent on this forum. I would buy issues which featured the works of Ivo Preda, Bassman among others. They do great conversions in 54mm scale.

    Hi Victor

I totally agree there so much talent on this, its untrue, but unfortunately not everyone wants to write articles.

    Good news

I've been informed that the sales pf Mil Mod have increased by 20% since the increase of figure articles. Lets hope this continues, and then perhaps we can persuade the publishers for the return of the figure special.

So if the momentum continues it does bode well, I hope this is not a 'plateau' of circulation but an 'upward curve' trend

Nice to see the inclusion of more figure articles means an increase in circulation. I got the latest edition today as my ipad told me there was a new edition available. It is marvellous . lovely mixture of articles and even the aircraft one was fine as I like WW2 aircraft.

Under the new regime it does seem to be a magazinr much more to my taste.

    Cheers

I just restarted my digital subscription after sampling the last couple of months. I like the new approach, I prefer a general modelling magazine to a more specialised one anyway. MM was getting a bit stale when it concentrated on tanks and trucks to the detriment of everything else in the "military" field but now there is a bit more variety it has become an enjoyable read again.

You can pick up many hints and tips from other modelling genres (even aircraft modellers ;))and I just like looking at a nicely built and finished model no matter what it is. It is one of my 2 favourite magazines at the minute (along with the Airfix mag).
