    Hi all,

After finishing this bust 6 months ago and never being happy with it at all, I thought now was the time to see if it was salvageable by adding deeper mid tones to the face and sorting out the glossy tunic!!
    Now I’m happy (I think).
Let me know your thoughts good or bad.

    Sam

P.S. My I.T. Department has got home now (my girlfriend).

I personally think the 5 O'clock shadow is to dramatic/excessive; it looks almost like a fully grown goatee. The rest of the painting though is very, very good; excellent job on the painting & blending and weathering of the camo.

I think the first version looks very good. Now he looks a lot more improved, the fading fabric efect looks very good but I agree maybe if you were to tone down the 5 oclock shadow he'd be even better.
Very well painted all in all.

    That is pretty cool Sam!

If I was gonna crit anything it would be the eyebrows... the top edge is too sharp/dark I think....

    Nice work!
