    Hey all,

I need info on a shield, presumably medieval from the rhine area, germany, but that is not confirmed. I'm looking for info and/or reference regarding the shape of the shield. Anyone knows anything? Or do you have book recommendations?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Helm,

Thanks for the input! I was able to do more research today and found a very similar shield that is dated to 1400-1500 and located to Cologne. http://www.dhm.de/datenbank/dhm.php?seite=5&fld_0=AK005369
It is indeed described as a Pavise/Pavese, so thanks a lot for your help!

To answer your question regarding the size: its roughly about 105 x 43 cm.
