Because of time shortage it took me a while to start a new sculptingproject .

Again I was inspired by the pirate theme as in previous work . This time the concept is not from an existing ( pirates of the Carribean) scene but a bit of fantasy took over .

Altough I must admit that some time ago there was a rerun on tv , the movie had a big shark in it .Directed by a guy named Spielberg , the idea came to me, what if a pirate came across a shark called Bruce . So the concept was born.

Setting up the rowboat and the scenery around ( the water ) it was important to construct the elements simultaneously.

The figure is holding on to the metal rod attached to the boat , a point of fixation.

In 1 foot there is also a metal pin to support the figure a second time .

The boat is from Verlinden and casted in resin .

The sharkfin is made from plasticcard and some milliput .

The figure is made from epoxysculp and duro .

    The head is from Hornet.

Some accessoires ( as the lantern) are from the Historexrange.

The treasurechests are from the scrapbox .

The water is done using valleijo products.

Painting of the figure was done using acrylics as a basic layer.

    The finale coats are oilpaint.
