Here are a few pix of my completed sculpt of Marshal Ney at Krasnoye Nov. 12, 1812 - I'm calling it "SANG-FROID." Finished after a 10 month hiatus.

He looks marvellous, what is the scale? I really like the hands but the whole thing is great.

Love this one. What scale is it, it looks masssive, at least 120mm?

    All the best...

Stunning work, Colin! Your detail work is fantastic, especially around his collar. Would you mind giving up your color recipe for the leather coat??

    Again, excellent work!

1/6th scale scuplted on a Dragon action figure with head, hands and feet removed.

    Completely painted in oils.

Coat was a mix of Viridian and Cadmium Orange. Shading was with more Viridian. Highlights - add titanium white to base. Once dry, I washed it with yellow achre.

    Thanks

BTW - There is an older string under my vbench that discusses the painting of the lace.

Thankyou for the kind words all. I only got around to finishing him because I am out on strike and its likely to go all summer. Should be lots of modelling time ahead though.

I have several projects in various stages of completion and I'd like to do another sculpted 1/6th personality figure. I think I'm going to do either a Napoleoninc or a WWII German resistance personality next. Either Junot as a Hussar general or Poniatowski if I go the Nappie route - Stauffenberg or Henning von Tresckow if I go WWII.

If I get something going on one of these I'll try to take enough pix to do an SBS.

    Cheers

    Colin

Hello Colin. I hope your strike doesn't last too long as it can be financially devasting if one isn't prepared. I look forward to seeing your next sbs project.
