Does anyone have any tips for how best to remove this seamline that is running through the figure’s hair?

It’s a 1/20 Brickworks figure, the sculpt and casting look good to me it’s just this one seamline that I’m stuck on.

Any tips would be much appreciated. Cheers m.

Little patience, and a nice little couple of jeweler's file and it goes away in no time. And after you get that done take the opportunity to define the hair lines a little. It will look better when you paint.

With a model knife, remove all unnecessary, including what is in the recesses of the strands. Further, if the strands were damaged during the clearing, make a kneading of epoxy putty, stick a little material where the excess was removed, and correct the lines of the strands with a thin sewing needle. If the surface does not seem very even, you can smooth out the putty that has not yet hardened with a brush moistened in water.

Always a pain with cast lines across hair but great suggestions from Steve and svt ...patience is the keyword

Look forward to seeing more on the figure

Thanks folks. Good tips, I’d not considered using thinned down filler that way but it makes sense. I’ll let you know how I get on.

    Cheers m.
