    Hi guys,

Recently Carl Reid posted a preview of his beautiful "Man in a Gorget and Cap" bust based on the Rembrandt painting of the same name. I've been blessed with the opportunity to paint the box art for this piece, to be released soon from United Empire. Carl sculpted a fantastic face for this piece, and I thought I'd give a little preview of my own by showing my progress on the face so far. Thanks for looking!

Amazing how the level of sculpture and painting continues to go so high it's tough to keep up......so what do you do?.....the best you can at the level that you're at...................
Excellent work in both sculpt and paint on this piece.......Regards....Wayne

    Jason,
    Great work as usual.
Did you paint the face in acrylics or oils?

    Great start Jason.
May I suggest that you look again to the left upper eyelid. It seems that you painted a dark line wich ended into a dark spot.
It is possible that the angle of the picture gives this effect, hard to say.
