So, i was wondering if i can boring you guys with another WIP from this Aitna figure.
Did some spothighlighting on the bronswork. Finished the blue parts. The red on the arms must be reshaded because i lost all the nice different colors of the red. (i always get that with acrylic).
The face has got his first coat and first shading and highlighting. Alot to do.
What do you think: should i leave the red as it is now.
    Highlight more of the bronze:

Maybe you should light up the edges of red a little bit with ocher. I would do that.
This is very nice Byzantine figure and it is not boring. Kip painting and posting.
Some of us are eager to see this done.

Marc, it's not boring at all mate. It's much more interesting to see how you're doing it rather than just see the finished piece. Lightening up the reds is a good idea.

    Looking very nice Marc!

I would like to see the reds with a bit more contrast, try an Orange colour as a highlight maybe :)

Did yesterday evening some highlights with orange but that didn't looks pleasant.
So shaded more and did some washes with red. After that highlighted with a mix from yellow and red (not to dark, so it's gonna orange) but i see hardly difference.
    Do some more this evening.
    Progress shots are following.
Thanks that i didn't borrow you.

    Nice going Marc.
I must say I quite like the restrained red. Be careful not to overdo the highlighting I'd say...

    Cheers,
    Adrian
