    Hello Folks
Sculpted by PF's Fex for MMM is this 200mm scale bust depicting Lt. Colonel Colin Campbell Mitchell of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. This highly respected officer gained the dubious nickname of 'Mad Mitch' whilst leading his battalion in Aden in 1967 and caused some disquiet amongst politicians of the day due to his 'no nonsence' approach in dealing with the ongoing emergency situation in the region.
    I have a few of these kits available at £30 + p&p UK £3.25 Europe £4.25 and elsewhere £5.50
Anyone interested please contact me direct on gordonmi@hotmail.com

As usual I will offer these to PF members prior to putting remaining stocks onto my website at www.mitchesmilitarymodels.co.uk
    Merry christmas to all.
    Cheers
    Gordon

Great likeness and excellent glengarry. The impressions on the dicing may be a tad deep - I think I would sand the band a wee bit to soften them.

Masterful choice of subject Gordon and a great sculpt by Andrey.
My all time favourite mad man.......to assemble the full regimental pipes and drums to go to war in 1967; cracking or crazy idea who knows. But it worked!!
Well done Guys and Seasons Greetings to you and your teams.
    Cheers,

What a man, retook Crater (Aden) by moving the Argylls pipe band onto the police station roof during the night. The pipes let the Terrorists know he was back in Crater.
Lovely bust of a very fine soldier.

Excellent. The medal array is a challenge to even the most skilful painter.

A great likeness but I would rather have seen him portrayed in battle dress as he was one of the last great serving commanders who put his men first and politcians second .
