Not had chance to post anything for a short while due to work commitments but still been doing some bits and pieces when I’ve had the chance. One of those pieces on the go at the moment is this 1/9 scale bust by United Empire Miniatures of King George III. Sculpted by Matt Springer and cast in resin, I picked it up at Euro and was immediately taken by the sculpting of the face portrayed on the box art. I’ve not heard much of the company personally and this is the first item of theirs that I’ve seen or worked on. The casting and detail are very good and there’s a brief history sheet covering the King enclosed in the box with the kit. A super piece to work on so far and looking at their site there are one or two other subjects in the United Empire range that have taken my fancy.

Really appreciated Bob. I tried to get a richer red using just Cadmium Red with only a hint of Brown Madder added to try and portray a finer quality cloth.
