Hi guys, Here are the first pics of my latest project, one that I've been saving and looking forward to since I bought it at Euro in 2009. Sculpted by the brilliant Keith Durham, this figure depicts the Scottish King Macbeth in the year 1057 in full battle mode. The last photo is the box art pic to show you all what the finished figure can look like. Thanks to Keith and Glenn Hamilton, I've chosen to follow their advice and go for a very subdued earthy colour palette. Rather than paint a tartan pattern, which would be wrong in so many ways I won't bother explaining, I'll try to do a Celtic plaid for the cloak. If anyone has some suggestions or wants to post some pics that might inspire the pattern, please feel free to do so; I'd welcome the help. I've started with the face in Vallejo acrylics and will apply oil washes over acylics as I progress. Thank you for looking and please feel free to share your comments.
