Don't forget, Barton did a 90mm Mounted Core of Guides, if memory serves correctly. Ray

    Hi Pierre

I don't know how I missed this thread back in 2018 , great finds for you and lovely to hear the replies from all and see the versions

All classic figures , the Raj and Indian Army are so colourful and interesting subjects

Figures very much "of their time" (for the most part) but iconic nonetheless. Nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia!

Rather surprised to see this old thread popping into live again.
Figures "of their time" indeed, when the figure world was largely a British and French affair, static and stately but made by human sculptor's hands, quite a contrast to many a present day approach to creation.
Age must surely influence my thinking, but the names of Horton, Lamb & Grieve will forever remain in my very personal Hall of Fame!

Still gathering up the courage to put paint on these iconic beauties....

    cheers,

    Pierre
