    Hi guys
I did this vignette inspired from the paint of Alphonse De Neuville of Ltn Melvill saving, as ordered, the Queen’s colours at Isandhlwana battle. I create the officer and the Zulu over some spare parts, I sculpt all the uniform details: the indian frock, arms, hands, belts, binocular case ,all hand made, as well as, the sword, the Adams revolver and the flag of the 24th Warwickshire, painted over aluminium foil.
I create the Zulu warrior wearing the war dress with the shield, lance, leopard skin, monkey tails y cow tail fringe over the legs
The Historex horse was transformed in some parts: and over him I sculpt the campaign equipment: the bridle, saddle, the blanket, the crine and tail
I used acrylic Vallejo for the officer and Zulu and the horse was painted with oils
I must thanks for information and help to:
Martin Everett Curator, Museum of the Royal Regiment of Wales (24th / 41st Foot)
John Young Research Society Chairman, Anglo-Zulu War.

Excellent piece Adriano!!! I love the composition, the placement of the Zulu sheild is brilliant, really leads the viewer right into the action. Very well done!

It is a good work, I specially like the composition and the action scene, but maybe some more contrast on the paint work will be a nice touch, the colors looks a bit flat for me.
