    Well......why not

I suppose knowing your thoroughness that will now have to involve researching bust sculpts in marble to reduce to putty......
Mind you, there won't be much difference in the sizes between your sculpt size and the real thing either!
    :D

Beside all other things I like - incredible attention to detail - it pay`s to be a rivetcounter;)! I think that you have developed a class of your own re. creative sculpting, size and paintwork. Amazing!

Easily the best bust from your very individual production line.
They just keep getting better and better.

Thanks gents. I am of the view that he looks a little better in photos than under close-up real examination. Not much in terms of error or imprecision escapes the eye at 1/5 scale. As to shows, I don't really care at this stage of my life. My competition gene is eroding I guess. But its fun to display stuff and meet new people in the hobby. I really wish we had a Figureworld type of event this side of the pond.

New approach. I completed the oils and then dull coated him. I am now doing fine detail including, sash barrels, hair, NMM buttons etc. in acrylics and inks over the dull coated oils. So far its working quite well. Still lots of fine tuning to do.

Neat work - the shadows under his right shoulder could be a bit deeper but might be the pictures.

Looking awesome. Good idea doing the metals after the dull coat... So as not to lose the shine.

Hope to see this... And you On Sunday

Moving forward very slowly on this guy. Had the good fortune to acquire a finished base - a pencil holder - from a local thrift shop. I mounted him toward the rear leaning back to simulate my hussar relaxing in a chair...perhaps against a wall. The acrylic on dull coated oil is working well so far. I am picking out detail on his lace and barrel sash. Chair grain still to come. I put some more oil on his face and need to glaze on some purples, reds etc. Still lots to do.
