Lt Col George Armstrong Custer, 1876 - Oniria Miniatures 36mm metal

For this figure, I thought I drop down to a smaller scale than my Series 77 efforts. This is a very nice kit from Oniria in 36mm. It comes with the option of having Custer's hat off (my choice) or hat on. The only addition to the kit is the horse's reins made from electric tape.

As Always, painted entirely in acrylics, with Magic Sculpt putty groundwork.

Thanks for looking. :)

Excellent work as always Ken. Finally began painting some of these little guys. Working on the Reaper Nativity set for the wife. They aren't looking too bad, so I will move up to one my Onira sets next. They are definately not in my comfort zone yet.

Thanks Mike! The smaller scales can be a challenge, but time and patience win out. No hurry and no pressure. Enjoy yourself, my friend. :)

Cheers,

Hi Ken

Great to see your benchtime and on a really nice figure , do like the way you've depicted him

Like the painting of the horse and the angled position

These 36mm from Oniria really do have a lot of really good details sculpted

Nap

Thanks Nap! It was fun. A few days of effort instead of a few weeks. A nice change of pace.

Cheers,
Ken

Great job Ken. Marvel at the detail you have produced on this when I’m struggling at anything less than 75mm!

Neal

Thanks Neal! The painting can be a challenge, but, as I said to Nap, the shorter time frame makes for a change now and then. Usually my smaller works contain multiple figures/horses, so this one took much less time.

Cheers,
Ken
