    Hi guys

I did this figure of Lord Henry Paget, Earl of Uxbridge, later Marquess of Anglesey in the uniform of Colonel Of the 7th Hussars (as it´s show at The National Army Museum picture: not the uniform used at Waterloo as Wellington Cavalry Commander, where he will louse one leg by a cannon shot.
I used a Historex horse transformed in some parts: legs neck, enlarged the thin body, and over him I created the tiger skin, the crime, tail and the bridle. Hand made is also all the elaborate horse decorations
The officer was create over some transformed spare parts The Hussar uniform was sculpted completely with all the decorations details Hand made is also the colback , the bandolier, sabretache hands and sword. I used acrylic Vallejo for the soldier and the horse was painted with oils and acrylic

    All yours comments are welcome

    A beautiful conversion, Adriano

Wow, this is really a beautiful equestrian figure. You put so much work into it.
Everything looks so great. I love the terrain, and that broken wheel from an
artillery piece that you placed in the center of base, below. Obviously, you're
a very talented artist and skilled at conversions. (y)(y)(y)

    Kind regards,

'My God ,Sir, I've lost my leg!'

'By God, Sir, so you have!'

I've been to Waterloo a couple of times and have seen the 'tomb' of Uxbridge's leg. The saw used to amputate his leg still exists in the museum at Chelsea, and Uxbridge himself hobbled on through life until 1854!

    Cheers,
    Jon.

Hi Rick .Thanks for the kind words: it was about one year of work....

Hi Jonathan . I understand the real leg is not at Waterloo anymore.. And losing his leg made him a national hero: maybe more than he really deserved...

Adriano that is some very nice conversion work you have completed on both horse and figure, there are a lot of small detail work in this which has been sculpted very well, nice work on the Dolman braiding and also the horse tackle.
Did you sculpt the Sabretache with its design ?

Beautiful work, Adriano. I don't know how long you have been making these extensive conversions but I think you are going to get very very good at it.--
