Having attended this event last year, I would urge anyone who can make it to sign up and go! The level of instruction and hands-on demonstration was excellent. In addition, you got a whole day to paint, amongst others doing the same, and how often does THAT opportunity come along. Even the lunch was good!
To brag on a buddy for a moment - Pat Deluhery (PF member & Hawaiian Shirt Mafia operative) was already an accomplished flats painter. Nevertheless, his opportunity to get over-the-shoulder instruction and guidance from Greg DiFranco manifested itself in probably the most valuable painting day for Pat ever, in terms of technique improvements, and likely was a significant factor in Pat's first-ever Gold medal at the 2012 MFCA show. The Don Quixote flat that Pat used for the class showed such material improvements, from morning to late afternoon, that he preserved it, and bought another copy to paint for his shelf and shows.
The class is well worth the time, effort and cost, and the Long Island Club folks are a great bunch with which to spend a day.
No, I'm not their press agent, just a VERY satisfied customer.
Do yourself a favor - attend this class!!
