Liverpool Scottish Pre WW1 Uniform Colour.

    Hello All,
A request for help regarding the Highland Tunic colour of the Liverpool Scottish pre WW1.
I recently obtained the pre-owned figure below -see Fig.1. I'm not sure who the manufacturer is, but it looks like an old New Hope Design figure slightly adapted. The metal base is definitely New Hope.
I am working on the paint job and my question relates to the uniform colour. It looks far too brown in shade. Khaki came/comes in many shades but this one does not look correct.
Figure 2 shows the painting that might have been used as the model for the figure.
In my the usual search on the Google found Figure 3, a picture of an old tunic which to my eye looks more authentic. It looks more a light khaki, possibly drab
If anyone can supply other images(found a few others on The Liverpool Scottish Museum site ) on this matter. As readers my suspect I very am doubtful about the "brown option".
As a final aside it is interesting , or is the correct word annoying when a painting , even by an established artist of the military gets it wrong and the error is continued in further examples.
Apologies for running on. Looking forward to replies.
    Yours,
    Lightbob
P.S. My technical skills re photo resizing failed, so hope the info below helps you find the images referred to.

Thanks for the responses to my request. Some of the pics I found/knew others not. I went with a blend of khaki and drab. Tartan worn is Forbes.
    Thanks.
