Here's my latest Flat suggested by Mark Bennette (Gothicgeek) and sculpted in Super Sculpey Firm measureing approx 110mm. I've called it "Little Sister" after the painting by Marat Samsanov .
I noticed the muzzle of the gun protruded out from the body and saw this as a weak spot , especially in shipment . I then remembered Steve Readdie (1969) had sent me some samples in this scale and Hey Presto the Flatish figure with the 3d equiptment was born :) It's original for me although I dare say it's already been done before.
Many thanks for looking and I welcome any comments and suggestions you might give.
    Cheers Ken

You have been busy Ken. It'll upset the flats purists, but it's a great idea.

Once again I am very pleased indeed to have the first casting of a new Milmart piece. I thought that I originally gave you the picture but I could be wrong. The artist I M Samsonov painted the work which inspired this piece in 1954, and Ken has done a wonderful job in reproducing it in another art form. Best of luck with it mate.

Hi Roger, not really but if I do see a figure that would benefit from it I wouldn't hesitate to do one again.

Hi Tom, indeed you did give me the first picture but because it had already been done as a full figure it was decided to file it.
I hadn't thought of it as a Flat until Mark sent it to me as his suggestion.
Many thanks mate and glad you like it.

    You're a true artist Ken,

Everything's perfect. The foreshortening of the boots, brilliant!

The way you've sculpted his tilted back head! Most people would struggle to create that head in 3D! you've done it in relief!

    I bow before the master!

    Cheers,
    Jon.

That's good to hear Les. Ken's work is just the thing to intoduce people to flats who wouldn't normally give them a thought. Hopefully this will lead to an interest in the more "traditional" forms of the art.
