Working on the new Lincoln bust from Argudo Miniatures. Perfect casting and a beautiful sculpt. I'm looking forward to more pieces from Antonio and his new company. As always, painted with acrylics.

Very good brush work on the face Dave,
I really like the way that you have delt with the wrinkles.
Looking forward to your progression on this fine figure.
    All the very best

Simply wonderful - if the face is anything to go by its going to be a superb piece when finished.

He looks very weary, just as Lincoln must have been near the end of the war.

Its almost alive, some the best skin tone work I've seen in a while. Your handling of acrylics is excellent, do you work in washes or blend wet on wet?

Thank you for the nice comments! More progress today if my shoulder feels better - I must have slept on it funny... Rich, I paint in very thin layers of paint (almost water) in small areas and always feather the transitions with a clean, damp brush almost immediately. Wet over dry, I guess? Maybe very tiny controlled washes. :)

Almost finished, just a few more details to work on. I will post completed photos next week. This has been a really fun bust to paint.
